I loved Helloween back in the 80s. I bought Keeper Of The Seven Keys Pt 1 when I saw it reviewed in Kerrang. I hadn't heard a note of the music but the review was so good I bought it on a whim. Needless to say I played it to death, bought Pt 2 when it was released + Walls of Jericho, and saw them live in Edinburgh (I guess I'm on the Live In The UK album ). I lost interest in the band after Kai left and to be honest I've not kept up with them since.
I just discovered Unisonic via YouTube and was immediately impressed. I've now got both albums (just received Light of Dawn CD yesterday and finding it not as immediate as the first album, but that's usually a sign of a mature album).
Anyway, I've got a couple of questions.
1. Several of the songs on the 1st album have guitar solos very reminiscent of Michael Schenker, in particular My Sanctuary and We Rise. I was wondering which guitarist plays these solos? There is such a strong Schenker sound there.
2. There's a vocal effect on Michael's vocals on the 1st album. When he holds the last note in a line it sounds very quavery, for want of a better word. Is this a vocal effect applied in the studio, a natural vocal technique or is it autotune? I don't hear it on Light of Dawn so far.

...Anyway, I've got a couple of questions.
Welcome to the forum.
1. If I remember correctly, Kai Hansen mentioned in an interview that he was in a Michael Schenker mood during the recordings of the first album. You can check who plays which part yourself by watching the following live videos:
My Sanctuary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyJzianFqu0
We Rise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Dchxdmb6NM (the song starts at 19:12)
2. I assume you are referring to Kiske's "vibrato" (tremble). He has been using this vocal technique since 2008. It is very evident on the Place Vendome track Streets Of Fire (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07KmrXKgVp0&spfreload=10) and on the track The Land Of New Hope that he sang on the self titled Timo Tolkki Avalon album (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xXeaem2tm4). In interviews he mentioned that he liked his vibrato faster during this period. He has toned it down since the recording of Light Of Dawn.
Off topic - I hope that you got the limited edition of the first Unisonic album. It includes a great bonus track, which IMO is probably the best power ballad Kiske has ever sang. Over the Rainbow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wygFMyhf9aI
Also the exclusive track, included on the Unisonic - For the Kingdom EP, is very good. You Come Undone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb1yz3BJQ5k&spfreload=10
If you haven't followed Kiske since his Helloween days there are many things worth checking out. Place Vendome is an AOR/melodic rock project that Kiske fronts. They have released 3 albums and a fourth one comes out next month. He has also released 4 solo albums, one of which (Past In Different Ways) features acoustic renditions of the songs he wrote when he was in Hellowen. Additionally he has guested on many different albums of numerous bands, with the most appearances being with Avantasia (Rock Opera/power metal project). Here is a live sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxNtkbvHkgQ
(There is a detailed page about him and all these in wikipedia)
Hope I helped.
